Athabasca River Expedition: Connecting the Drops

Get Involved

Speak out!Albertans are concerned about the protection of our watersheds, including the Athabasca River Basin. They know that water is more than just an environmental issue. It's about clean drinking water, recreation and reliable water supplies — protecting the watershed means protecting our health and quality of life.

The Athabasca Expedition highlights the impacts of oil sands development — one of the greatest stressors on the lower Athabasca — but other issues are also placing the protection of the Athabasca River at stake.

What Can I Do?

Taking action to protect the Athabasca River means getting informed, getting involved and speaking out on behalf of the river, local ecosystems and our communities.
